A work team in full protective gear taking sledgehammers to a car together during a team building session at RageScape in Oceanside

Most teams have never done anything together.

Not a meeting. Not a lunch. Something that actually required them to rely on each other. The numbers on workplace connection are not good, and they have not been for years.

31%

of U.S. employees were engaged at work in 2025

22%

say they have a best friend at work

20%

of employees worldwide were engaged in 2025

Figures published by Gallup — Global Indicator: Employee Engagement. U.S. and global engagement for 2025; best-friend-at-work as of May 2026.

We are not going to claim a rage room fixes that. What we can tell you is that people who have swung a sledgehammer next to each other, or been locked in a room with sixty minutes on the clock, come out talking. That is the whole product.

How a group of thirty actually works

This is the question every organiser asks and almost no venue answers.

  1. Everyone signs in once

Waivers are done on a phone before or on arrival. Spectators sign too. You send us a headcount; we handle the rest.

  2. The group splits and rotates

Each attraction runs its own session size — six in the rage room, five in the paint room, nine in the escape room, sixteen across the four axe lanes. One group is always doing something while the next gears up.

  3. The party room is the middle

Two hours of your own room next door for food and drinks, so the people waiting to rotate are not standing in a hallway.

  4. You leave, we clean up

Gear, glass, paint, targets — all ours to deal with. Nobody from your team stays behind to tidy anything.

Five things to put in front of them

Arrived early prior to our appointment time. We had filled out waivers beforehand but they didn’t find them for some reason so we had to restart the whole process, which took longer because our phones wouldn’t scan the IDs. There was paint on the floor in the coveralls changing area that stained the clothes I came in.…

Had such a great time releasing some pent up energy smashing things with Ragescape! We got the neon package and Joel really hooked us up. Smashing a giant doll house, a table, bottles on bottles on bottles!! Also, being able to have our own playlist was great. We want to try the paint room next! Thanks Joel!

My husband and I celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary at Ragescape… and I cannot say enough good things!! Our prior activity to this ran a little late, but Joel was more than accommodating and offered us multiple later times in order to make sure we could still come. We've never done anything like this, but hon…

We had so much fun! I took my three grandkids, teens and a preteen on their birthday Day of Fun. We had a blast in the Paint Splatter room. It was a great way to have an amazing experience with all of them. They can’t wait to go back another time. I highly recommend Ragescape!

My son turned 30 last week and I was trying to figure out something to do locally that he would enjoy. I ended up finding this place here in Oceanside that had some fun things to do. It's called Ragescape. We did an escape room where we were detective and had to enter a chop shop to find enough evidence to bust the own…

Why groups end up here

Two venues, one address

RageScape and Chopscape share a building at 1906 Oceanside Blvd. A group can do rage rooms, the escape room, paint and axe throwing without anyone getting back in a car.

Weekdays are wide open

Most of our competition is built around weekend walk-ins. A Tuesday afternoon team event is the easiest thing on our calendar to say yes to — and axe throwing is cheaper Tuesday and Wednesday.

The price is the price

Sessions are services, not goods, so there is no sales tax to surprise you at checkout. What the calculator says is what you pay.

Bundle and service discounts

10% off when your group does two or more attractions, and 15% off for military and first responders.

We do the organising

Scheduling, waivers, gear, staffing and cleanup are ours. The only thing on your plate is picking a date and telling people where to show up.

Half an hour from San Diego

Oceanside, 30 to 45 minutes up the coast, and minutes from anywhere in North County. Free parking on site.

Before you ask

How far ahead do we need to book?

Two to four weeks is comfortable for a large group. Smaller groups can often be fitted in within a week — call and ask rather than assuming.

What’s the biggest group you can take?

Fifty-plus works, run in waves across the attractions. Above fifty we build the schedule with you rather than taking a booking online, because a group that size spans more than one start time.

Is it safe?

Protective gear is included and mandatory — coveralls, gloves, helmets and face shields in the rage room. Staff are on the floor the entire time, and axe lanes are coached.

What are the age limits?

Rage room 10+, escape room 6+, paint splatter 3+, axe throwing 13+. Anyone under 18 needs a guardian on the waiver.

Can we bring food and drink?

Yes — that’s what the private party room next door is for. Two hours of your own space for catering, cake, or just sitting down.

What if someone doesn’t want to take part?

Plenty of groups have people who’d rather watch. Spectators are welcome, sign the same waiver, and are not charged as participants.

Do you invoice, or do we pay by card?

A 50% deposit holds the date. Call us about invoicing — we can usually work with a company’s process.

Pick a date. We’ll do the rest.

Price your group in about thirty seconds, or call and talk it through with the owner.
