Rent RageScape as a Filming Location — Real Destruction, Real Paint, Zero Set Dressing

Three built-out, camera-ready rooms in Oceanside, CA: a full rage room for smash and destruction footage, a UV blacklight paint splatter room, and a themed garage-workshop escape room. If your shoot needs a visual that’s expensive or impossible to fake on a soundstage, it already exists here.

Three Rooms, Ready to Shoot

Destruction area in the RageScape rage room with breakable barrels and graffiti-covered walls, Oceanside

The Rage Room

Sledgehammers, bats, and breakable stock — glass bottles, plates, ceramics, and wood furniture. Built for real destruction on camera, not a controlled prop break.

Paint-covered walls, easels, and mirror in the RageScape paint splatter room under blacklight, Oceanside

The Paint Splatter Room

Floor-to-ceiling paint-covered walls under UV blacklight — a visual a lot of productions try to fake with lighting gels and CGI. Here it’s the actual room.

The Chopshop escape room garage workshop set with motorcycle, RageScape Oceanside

The Chopshop Escape Room

A fully dressed garage-workshop set with a motorcycle centerpiece — already built, already lit, ready to shoot in.

Why Productions Choose RageScape

We’re not a rented storefront dressed up for one day — we’re a working attraction with three completely different practical sets under one roof, built and maintained for daily public use. That means real paint buildup, real wear, and real destruction potential you can’t fake with a fog machine and colored gels. It’s also an efficient choice: one address, one parking lot, three distinct visual styles, and a crew that already knows how to reset a room fast between takes. If you’re weighing us against a generic studio rental or another unique-venue option, the difference is that everything here is already real, already built, and ready to shoot — which keeps your production cheaper and faster than building a set from scratch.

Trusted By Creators

We’ve hosted YouTube and social content creators shooting exciting, high-energy content, and recently welcomed a music video shoot in the rage room for a punk rock band from San Diego. If you’re producing content anywhere in Southern California — San Diego or LA — we’d love to hear about your shoot.

Who This Is For

We’re in Oceanside, CA — North San Diego County: about 40 minutes from downtown San Diego and roughly 90 minutes from downtown Los Angeles without traffic. This makes the most sense for music videos, YouTube and content creator shoots, indie productions, and any project chasing a specific practical visual — real destruction, real UV paint, a built garage set — that would otherwise mean building it from scratch or faking it in post. If your shoot has the flexibility to travel for the right location, this is one very few places actually offer.

What’s Already Set Up

  • Three distinct rooms, each with a different visual identity, in one building — shoot multiple setups in a single day without moving locations
  • Breakable stock and safety gear already on hand for rage room destruction shots
  • UV blacklight rigging already installed in the paint splatter room
  • A fully art-directed garage/workshop set with a motorcycle centerpiece in the escape room, no set dressing required
  • Free parking on-site for crew and equipment
Before you reach out

Day rates, minimum notice, insurance requirements, and whether we close to walk-in customers during a shoot all depend on scope — how many rooms, how long, and how much of a crew. We work with everything from solo content creators to full production crews, so don’t assume it’s out of budget. Email us and we’ll work out the details for your specific shoot rather than quote a one-size number here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you require a certificate of insurance?

Tell us about your production and we’ll walk you through what we need. Reach out before you lock your shoot date so there’s time to sort out paperwork.

Can we shoot without regular customers in the space?

Depends on the scope of your shoot and how much notice you can give us — email us with your dates and we’ll tell you what’s possible.

Can we bring our own crew, lighting, and equipment?

Yes. Let us know what you’re bringing in advance so we can plan around load-in and parking.

How far is this from Los Angeles?

About 90 minutes from downtown LA without traffic. We’re honest about the drive — this makes sense when the location itself is worth the trip, not as a default choice.

How far is this from San Diego?

About 40 minutes from downtown San Diego — well within range for San Diego-based productions. We’ve already hosted a music video shoot here for a local San Diego band.

Can we use more than one room in the same shoot?

Yes — the rage room, paint splatter room, and Chopshop escape room are all in the same building, so multi-setup shoots are straightforward to schedule.
